I chose it as it was close to my home and I am glad I did. My Mom walks quite a bit and she has room to walk there. The staff are caring and compassionate. Call bells go unanswered for 90 minutes regularly. Residents call out for help and don't receive any. If you go out looking for someone to help, you'll often find the halls empty.

The waitresses who served in the dining room did so with class, as if we were ordering in a restaurant. The chef and facility personnel were friendly and accommodating. Most important of all, of course, were the nurses and aides who helped everyday. They were unfailingly kind and patient, helping the residents keep their dignity when they could no longer attend to their most basic needs without help. I did not realize how creative staff had to be when working with memory loss patients.

My brother-in-law was at Symphony Manor for almost 2 years. EVERYDAY he got extraordinary care at every level. This is a place where staff took the time to get to know him , found out his needs, and loved him. He made special relationships there and I will forever be grateful for the way that Symphony treated someone I loved.
